The Premier sticks for Isak

The ‘Premier League’ is in love with Alexander Isak. The big English clubs literally beat each other for their services and to be able to pay for their signing for next summer. Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool have him on their agenda of possible reinforcements for next season. And at Real Sociedad they are beginning to assume that, faced with such a demand for their Swedish star, they will have to open up to listen to offers and negotiate. For two reasons. First because its market price is skyrocketing and very high offers are expected to arrive at the Anoeta offices, without ruling out that someone decides to pay his termination clause, which amounts to 90 million euros. And second because Jokin Aperribay, just as he has done in other complicated and important renewal negotiations, made a commitment last summer with Isak himself that this coming summer they would show a more flexible position when it comes to negotiating in the event that a lofty proposition from a powerful club in European football.

So although the initial intention is not to negotiate, at Real they know that they will have to do so, in the case of the Solna striker requesting it. In the winter market there was no type of tie, so at the club his position was clear, or clause or nothing. And although no proposal was officially received, Isak was already aware that there was no chance of getting out in January. But in the summer it will be another story, and that is why more than once he himself has answered that the future does not know what may happen. In that winter market, strong interest came through Arsenal, although in the end it did not take the step. And this Wednesday the colleagues from Mundo Deportivo have published that what did reach Real Sociedad was a proposal through an intermediary for Manchester United for 70 million eurosthat was never raised because it was not official. But all these types of movements make the club see that in England they may be preparing the ground to launch Isak’s career this coming summer. And in that case the story will be very different, without being able to rule out that the ‘Swedish Txipiron’ could leave the San Sebastian club three years after his arrival, and one summer after his renewal by increasing his termination clause.

The news about the interest of Premier clubs does not stop, and not a day goes by without some information arriving from England. The last to join the bid is Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, which has him in its portfolio and is also considering making an important offer in summer to get their services. Aware at Real of the difficulty of retaining him this coming summer, what they are not going to do is put him on the market either, although they know that the interest of so many clubs is in their interests, because an auction can be opened between all of them that can make your outlet more expensive and, therefore, get more money from your sale, because the intention in that case will be to get the amount closest to 90 million euros from its clause. What they did last summer was to get their clause up, fearing that what is presumed could happen and they believe will happen in the transfer market this summer.
