Official: Edgar renews for two more seasons

The renovation of Edgar Gonzalez it’s official. The Real Betis and Catalan have reached an agreement to finally extend two more years the contract that unites them until June 2023. The now center-back will therefore play for Real Betis until June 2025.

Édgar, who turns 25 in the next few days, arrived in 2018 at the Betis subsidiary from the lower echelons of Espanyol, debuted in the first team under Quique Setién and last year left on loan to Oviedo, in the Second Division . This season, Edgar González has already accumulated 2,559 minutes, spread over 33 games in all competitions. His only goal came in the recent victory against LEvante (2-4) at the Ciutat de Valencia.
