One of the most surprising was Emiliano Martinezthe goalkeeper of the Albicelestewho was recorded by a relative while celebrating the moment in which the name of Mexico appeared in the draw, as it was one of the most anticipated rivals by the South American team of those available in the Pot 2.

“easy easy” one of those present in the home was heard screaming while the Aston Villa goalkeeper jumped with his cell phone in his handin a celebration that was even supported by his son, who accompanied his father’s gestures of joy.

“It’s been a long time since football games have been won by talking, threatening or making fun…”

Other journalists pointed directly to Emiliano Martinez and they compared him with other soccer players who have also underestimated the Mexican National Team, with the recent memory of Croatia and Luka Modric in the brazil world cup 2014.

Such is the case of Martin of the Palacewho worked for several months at FIFA and is now one of the most popular Twitter users in Mexico.

“Best players have been happy to face Mexico. And they have ended up in their little house. Let’s save this video. Let’s remember in a few months.”

Subsequently, the draw Martínez was in a transmission by Twitch in which he commented on part of what happened, as he argued that he was very excited because it was his first World Cup.

I lived it with anxiety, it is my first World Cup. It’s a fucked up group, nice, but we have a good start with Saudi Arabia. I don’t remember seeing Arabia, so maybe I look at some now to see how they move. The other day I saw Poland and as for Mexico, maybe we can play a friendly with them beforehand”, said the native of Mar del Plata.

“We discussed it after the draw with the boys. Everyone is happy with the group, it’s nice to think about what’s to come. As in all tournaments, we are going to go game by game”
