C贸rdoba CF tests its power against Cacere帽o

The imminence of the objective has put Cordobesismo at a boiling point. Supported by his faithful, outstanding leader and with the title two wins away, Germ谩n Crespo’s team travels to C谩ceres with the feeling of living the final chapters of a unique adventure: the division in which he purges his sins has become in a generator of joys. And there is still the final explosion, which everyone will celebrate in their own way.

C贸rdoba CF plays the best possible match against Cacere帽o in group 4 of the Second RFEF and, surely, the most attractive in the entire category. The white and green go first with 65 points, twelve more than a Cacere帽o that adds 53 and that has Merida and Ceuta, third and fourth respectively, to seven points. The fact that Cacere帽o unseats C贸rdoba as leader and ends up ascending is just a game of rhetoric and contained emotions on a background of twisted mathematics. Regardless of the final score at the Pr铆ncipe Felipe Stadium in C谩ceres, C贸rdoba will end up going up and Cacere帽o will try it through play off. It is a simple matter of time and inertia. And, obviously, the quality shown by both in this course 21-22. The Cordoba thing is from another world. With his current numbers, Cacere帽o would be a candidate to become champion in any of the rest of the groups in the category.

What does C贸rdoba want now? Germ谩n Crespo did not hide the desires of the locker room, which coincide with those of the bulk of a hobby that has suffered a cruel historical sequence: the descents, at home; promotions, out of it. Long trips are fine, the aftertaste of triumph on hostile land, the euphoria of the receptions… From Valdepe帽as to Las Palmas, passing through Cartagena or Huesca, Cordobans have subscribed to experience the category jumps from a distance.

Let’s see if we can give our fans the joy of having the promotion at home禄, declared the C贸rdoba CF coach in his last appearance. The question is that if the match ends with the three points in the Cordoba locker, the match of the Saturday April 9 against Villanovense at El Arc谩ngel would lead to that long-awaited occasion: a win against the team from Villanueva de la Serena -the only ones, mind you, who have beaten C贸rdoba this season- would mean the automatic ticket for the First RFEF 22-23 and the title of champion, the second that I would see in direct the blanquiverde fans after the conquest of the RFEF Cup. It would be an unrepeatable milestone, since the entity’s next challenge will be not to compete in these competitions again in the future.

True to his rule, Crespo reserves his plans to shake the eleven or keep it fixed. He won’t have Joseph Alonsowho is not yet recovered from his injury, nor with Storm Jimenezout of the dynamics of the campus in recent weeks due to discomfort in the pubis and a knee. The Basque winger, a fixture in the lineups since the start of the season, is being monitored by medical services to determine if he could be useful on the pitch. If he is ultimately ruled out, Crespo will resort to the option of Dragisa Gudelj on the left wing, leaving the positions in the center of the back to Jose Cruz and Ricardo Visus or Bernardo Cruz, who this week has released paternity. The return to ownership Miguel of the Caveswho came from the bench in Montijo, like Adrian Fuentesit would give a change to the tactical drawing used in the Emilio Macarro.

The two best in the League meet, curiously, after not resolving their most recent encounters. The Blanquiverdes drew in the Montijo field (1-1) and the C谩ceres fell in Lepe against San Roque (2-0) and drew goalless in the Silvestre Carrillo de La Palma against the Mensajero. Those markers somewhat deflated the expectations of a duel whose significance remains for the future. C贸rdoba would delay their alir贸n if they do not win, while Cacere帽o would see their situation compromised if their pursuers approached. 鈥淚n the end, they are the ones who risk it to those who are losing their lives,鈥 stressed Crespo, who predicts a high-voltage contest. In the first round, his team won El Arc谩ngel by a resounding 5-0, but Cacere帽o is another one in the warmth of his home. In fact, only C贸rdoba -who won them all- did better as host. The team coached by Julio Cobos won nine, tied four and only lost one of their 14 home games, with 24 goals for and ten against.

Good stadium, good atmosphere, first against second, significant points… It will be a match of a higher category, like the one both are looking for. Each one in his lane.
