Deportivo Cali vs Boca Juniors: Dudamel lineup, time and where to watch the game live for free | Libertadores Cup

This Tuesday, Deportivo Cali will begin the most important challenge of this year, the start of the group stage of the Copa Libertadores 2022, in which they will receive Boca Juniors from Argentina from 7:30 p.m. at the Cali Stadium in dry palm The sugar producer hopes to leave behind the poor start in the Colombian league and be able to achieve a positive result in search of the objective that is the round of 16.

After the tie against La Equidad, last Friday in Bogotá for the League, the group returned to Cali and the next day they did physical recovery work. On Sunday they did the training already thinking about commitment against the xeneize team, with the tactical positioning and concrete actions of the game.

On Monday, the team had the last corresponding tactical work, to then start the concentration with almost the entire group that is available, taking advantage of the fact that for the Conmebol tournament, it is allowed to have a fairly large group in the calls and the banks of substitutes, up to more than 10 players as alternatives.

Coach Rafael Dudamel analyzed his rival and about the precautions they must take into account: “you have to be careful in the general lines of the group, whether the rival is from 4-3-1-2 or from 4-2- 3-1, which are the tactical modules that they have normally used and 4-3-3 sporadically, but the first is the one that has worked for them to be able to become strong in the middle of the field, with men with very good footing, being a very pragmatic team, with two sides of hierarchy, quality and selection level like Frank Fabra and Luis Advíncula. We have seen them well, we were able to watch them in the last game against Arsenal de Sarandí and we have shown the tactical analysis to the players”.

He was asked if he also thinks about the option of the Copa Sudamericana: “we haven’t thought about the Copa Sudamericana, because to talk about that cup is to consider yourself eliminated in this group stage, which we are just going to start playing, we know that the better third parties, but our main objective is to be able to advance to the round of 16, in that way of knowing how to compete each game, point by point, being solid defensively and forceful in attack”.

Cali has faced Boca 10 times for the Copa Libertadores, with a total of 5 wins for the Argentines, 4 draws and a sugar victory; 18 goals from Boca and 8 from Cali.

The second leg on May 2 was Cali’s only victory against Xeneize with a 3-0 win with goals from Gerardo Bedoya, Víctor Aristizábal and an own goal from Julio Marchant. Dudamel was present in that double confrontation as the starting goalkeeper for the Caleños.
