Cuadrado could not avoid the defeat of Juventus against Inter

Sunday’s day closed in Italy with a high-voltage match, in which Juventus received Inter Milan at the Allianz Stadium in a duel valid for date 31 of the Italian league. This commitment included the participation of Juan Guillermo Cuadrado, who was important in sections of the meeting, but could not change the final result.

The game started at full speed with several approaches from Juve, who dominated the game during the first half. At 9 minutes the first warning came with a ball that Giorgio Chiellini crashed into the crossbar.

During the first half, the international coffee grower was proactive and maintained the offensive intensity. On several occasions he slipped between the rivals to find a solution from the right wing, but there was no effectiveness inside the area.

Though he had the scales on his side, Juventus could never find the way to the goal. Moreover, at the end of the first 45 minutes there was an action that benefited Inter.

When the first added minute was already running, striker Álvaro Morata revealed his offensive shortcomings by trampling Denzel Dumfries inside his area, who immediately threw himself onto the grass so that the referee declared the foul. The first decision was to resume the game, but the VAR appeared to help the central judge make the decision to validate the maximum penalty in favor of the visit.

Among the discussions that the play left, the Spanish attacker received a yellow card for the action, while Cuadrado and Milan Skriniar were reprimanded for the strong claims.

The truth is that the Turkish Hakan Calhanoglu took the ball to execute the charge, which was saved by the goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny. By rebounding, the Inter player managed to send the ball to the back of the net in the second instance, but the referee determined that a foul had occurred. Before resuming the game from the floor, the VAR interceded again for the change of decision and the charge for invasion was repeated.

In that second action, Calhanoglu was more effective from the 12 steps and made the score two goals to one before going to the locker room.

Already in the second half, Cuadrado’s Juventus did not know how to recover and Inter held on until the final minutes to keep the victory.
