Italy: Roma clearly beat Lazio
AS Roma secured football dominance in the Italian capital thanks to an unbridled first half. With a 3-0 win over rival Lazio, the “Giallorossi” consolidated their 5th place in Serie A in a direct duel. Tammy Abraham (1st/22nd) had led Jose Mourinho’s team onto the road to victory early on. Just before the break, Lorenzo Pellegrini gave the clear final verdict in favor of the “Lupi”.
France: PSG with a swatter in Monaco
The low flight from Paris St-Germain continues. The capital city lost 3-0 in Monaco and thus lost the third of the last five serious fights. Wissam Ben Yedder scored twice for the seventh-placed Monegasque team (25th/84th by penalty). Substitute Kevin Volland decided the game prematurely with the 2:0 in the 68th minute. The German was also at the origin of the third Monaco goal as a foul. The weakness escaped Lionel Messi: he was absent due to illness. Despite the defeat, the Parisians are still 12 points clear at the top of Ligue 1.
