Ligue 1 is the top division in French men’s football. From 1932 to 2002 it ran under the designations “Division 1” or “Première Division (D1)”. It was a professional league from the start. Although there have been French championships since 1894, winning the championship (“Championnat de France”) has only been an official title since 1932.
Ligue 1: broadcast live on TV and stream in Germany
Unfortunately, there are no free broadcasts of matches in the French top league this season. The offer runs in Germany only in the paid stream and on pay TV: At DAZN and up sports1 plusprefer that to itself sport1 + writes.
